Tag 36 and the prompt was Slow Stitching. A week to slow down and enjoy the calm of slow stitching with a very neutral palette. Layers of fabric stitched down with a running stitch. A button and some tiny french knots also found their way onto my finished tag. The different textures of the fabric have also been chosen and might not show up in the image. There is some open weave embroidery fabric, some silk, some lawn and some flannelette. Another little piece of lace from the stash and the tag was almost done. I added two tiny over the edge bullion knots at the bottom to keep on with the stitching practice.

Slow stitching is something that I have loved exploring and hope to continue to work on. The slow steady use of hand sewing to embellish a piece of fabric is such fun. I like the focus on the process.

Have you had a go at some slow stitching? What stitch is your favourite stitch? Please leave a comment sharing your thoughts.
